My Guinea Pigs!!

Yesterday I brought my Guinea Pigs to school. My mum drove me to school because I couldn't really take them on the bus.
We passed the baby guinea pigs around in class, Then we closed up the circle a bit and let the guinea pigs run around.

One of the babies, that I named Rivers kept running back from the middle of the circle to me, Hannah, Sophie and Douglas.
Rivers is grey and the white and black one with a patch of ginger is called Milo.
I had seven guinea pigs but now we have 6. One of the babies, our favourite, got sick because it was always out eating grass and hardly drank a sip of her mum's milk.

One time, well lots of times, she was crawling out of the cage and sitting in the middle of the lawn eating grass, with predators like cats around her.
One morning we looked in the cage and she was gone! We don't think the mum seemed to realise or care but anyway, we don't know how it happened.

Two of the guinea pigs stayed at home because someone might have wanted to buy them.Their child named one of the ones that stayed at home Gingey and I named the other Shadow.
Their grandma said it was like a shadow of my first ever guinea pig I had because he looked like him, and I agree.
So those two stayed at home and the other four were at school for some of the morning.
I love guinea pigs!

Fun at the Mask Parade

On the first week back we did the mask parade and I think it was great and there was a dance at the front and my favorite thing was when my mum held one of the chickens and let all the people pat it and my other favorite bit was the dancers and we walked for ages but I didn't care it was kind of fun.

On Friday after the school holidays, it was the mask parade.

My favorite parts were the dance group because the moves they did were awesome and I liked the music playing when they were at it.

I also liked it when there was a big crash and Moses came through the middle of us fish. We were like the sea.

Some other teachers as well as a dog and Georgia from room 6 and Kyla from room 5 came through the red sea.

Daniel Play

At assembly half of our class did a play that was about Daniel in the lions den and Chelsea wrote this play. By Seth

 

 

This is the play about Esther. Jessica wrote the play. I was Mordecai. Mordecai was Esther's relative. He saved the King's life. By Bradley

Marae Trip

On Thursday we went to Te Awhina Marae and Kaiteriteri

 

 

The people on the marae were very friendly and welcoming and were pleased to see us

We looked at the carvings in the meeting house and then we went to the church to learn what it was about. I liked looking at the carvings and seeing all t he stuff in the meeting house. I liked how the other school sang songs.

First we had lunch then we got to play on the playground and I played on the slide with Hannah and Abbey. My favorite part was going down the slide six times.

Were are studying space

At school we have been making power points about space. We showed them to assembly. We have been writing two space stories. The first one is called "My trip to space" and the second story is called "A week on the space station". My first story was eight pages! Can you believe it? But I have only done my planning on my second story.

The library is covered in black plastic and on the black plastic there is paper planets and paper rockets and the library is a little bit dark but when the light is on the library is light but when the light is off  the library is dark.

Room 4s Assembly

Room 4 did a play in assembly. We did certificates, birthdays and prayers. We sang the song "Indescribable". The play was good. There were 2 Martians that loved red cheese. The space mouse took off in the space rocket and the martians - Nargle and Fargle were really happy about that. By Alex
