It was a long day. The sort that I thought would never end. My class was lining up at the pipes ready for athletics. When we finally got to the field they were just about to do sprints. I hoped they wouldn't use
the clapper because it always makes me nervous. It was time for my sprints, so we marched down to the
starting line. The clapper rose into the air...... BANG it went off, and we were off! Sprinting as fast as we
could, it was tiring, I made my last efforts and I was across the line, third place! I thought it was quite good
since I broke my leg earlier on this year. Next was the high jump I didn't do that because of my leg. Finally
discus came and I came third place again! Now it was long jump and I didn't do that either, but I came first
last year. Suddenly it was all over, everyone was packing up, we jogged back to class. It had been a great day, but I hadn't been in the mood for sprints.

                      I like athletics. My favorite event is sprints. It was embarrassing to run in front of the school.

I can't belive it I made it through too inter schools! Not long jump, but I tried my best and I came third. Close but not enough for inter schools. But at least I came second in all the rest. I didn't really mind that I didn't come first I still think that I tried my best.
It was sprints I heard the loud...CLAP!! and all the kids went running for their life.
It was high jump I went UP  UP UP!! I came second.
 It was long jump. I did a huge jump and I came third.
We did discus. It was my turn. I was nervous and then it shot through the air. I am glad I came second again.

Athletics Day

 Last Friday we did athletics . I won sprints and high jump in my age group. Rebecca came 2nd in the sprint. By Quilah

On Friday we did athletics. We first did sprints. We did high jump next after that we did long jump and then discus. My favorite was sprinting.  By Sebastian

Musical Assembly Day

We played music in the library at assembly time. By Charle

On Monday at assembly day we all did a little song with lot's of music like shaker's,xylophone's,tambourine's and a marimba. I played the shaker's not the same color but blue and red. By Keegan

On Monday we did some music with xylophones, shakers, tambourines and marimba. I played the xylophone and I learned it very quickly. I used to use the triangle then the shakers but on Monday someone was away so I decided to use there xylophone. There was a huge xylophone medium,small and very small. I had a small xylophone. My friend Keegan had some shakers and Israel had a medium xylophone. Another friend Leroy had shakers as well. They were mine but they were now his. By Asher

 

Fascinating klikko ship

This is my biggest ship I have built. It was very hard to make and to join together.I was on free morning because I made it to the top of the track.

On Wednesday we practiced for the mask parade. We all looked FABULOUS, even the adults!

Castle building on free morning

 

At free morning I built a castle out of coloured sticks.I started building the two story part first then the stairs then the pointy bit up the top then the gates around the building then the sea.After I did that I put chess pieces on it for people and then it was finished.  

NCA Olympics

The school Olympics was fantastic! Opening and closing ceromony, Fun sports and medals, filled the day.
You could hear screams of joy, and shouts of fun, they made the day awesome! Great, we have to wait another four years till next School Olympics! By Esther

WOW the school Olympics,teams were Ireland was Green,whales was Red ,sharks was Black and seals were Blue.There was javelin,an obstacle coarse, hockey goals.You could see all the excitement in everybody face. Who won you ask???? It was the Irish dolphins (green) then English seals (blue) then the Red Whales

Everyone had a fantastic Day cant wait until four years are up :)

I enjoyed the olympics. My favorite was javelin throw. I got the whole 3 points for javelin and hocky.  Our theam won. Douglas

 

Tree Planting

On Tuesday Room 4 went tree planting. My partner was Leroy, so I went and got a spade. We started  digging a hole in the ground. Then Leroy got the mats to put around the tree, the bamboo, and a cover to make sure no different animals get in to kill the the trees. Then we found a different tree. Leroy dug the hole, then I put the tree in with the equipment. We did 10 trees this time. By Sateki

 

I went tree planting today. My partner was Charlie. He is cool. He helped me. I dug a hole. I tapped the pot to get the plant out. It was pretty easy. Not everyone thought it was easy. It was hot up there. I didn't know where to put my jersey because if i put it on the ground it could get dirty. It was very muddy. It was awesome up there. By Connor..

Once me and Corban put the spade in the ground and stood on it with both feet and the spade sort of leaned. It was fun. By Griffin.

The hardest place to dig was this grass patch in a pile of sticks, but the most hard part about it was putting in the plant because when I got the plant in I had dug it in too deeply. By Corban

Tree planting was really messy and  muddy and we had lots of fun! We had a buddy. My buddy was Esther. She was funny. We had a lot of fun she made me giggle the whole time. AND she made me dug all the holes! we only planted three trees then we stopped because Connor was making us laugh and he sat on a prickle. By Kate
